Every Monday through the fall. Tortoise Acres will be open from 4:30pm-7:00pm. You can bring fruits and vegetables and feed the turtles and tortoises their dinner. There are 56 turtles and tortoises in the sanctuary so their food bill can get quite costly. Feel free to take as many pictures as you want and post them on the internet & tag our facebook page. We never charge an admission fee because we want everyone to enjoy these beautiful creatures as much as we do. We have 4 giant tortoises from 140lbs-200+ lbs. Check out our turtles and tortoises for adoption. Do you have a turtle or tortoise you need to find a home for? Checkout our awesome enclosures while you are here. Here is a list of favorite foods. Tortoises like: kale, lettuce (not iceberg), cucumbers, tomatoes, peas, corn on the cob, squash, carrots, turnip greens, mustard greens & collards. Grape & mulberry leaves are also a favorite.
Turtles & Red Foot Tortoises like: mango's, nectarines, grapes, bananas, apples & all types of berries. Worms & meal worms are also a favorite.
